Lesson Plan:

1. Teacher will introduce __KWL chart__. The students will have their own paper copy as the teacher uses a digital version.
2. Using the “K” guiding question, students will fill in the K column of the chart. Students will turn and talk to share out.
3. Teacher will activate prior knowledge of Conservation and Eco-Friendly Behavior with a group discussion. Students will brainstorm together to fill out the “L” column of the chart.
4. Students will watch a Brain Pop video on Human Environment Interaction __Brain Pop: Humans and the Environment__
5. Teacher will also discuss the __carbon footprint__.
6. Students will fill in the L column of their chart. The points made for this column must include examples from the video as well as include the carbon footprint and how we leave it behind.
7. Teacher will review all three columns and discuss the impact we have on our environment.
